Forster Sentinel - Winter 2011
Gwynne Forster's Newsletter
I’ve never seen so
much snow in my life. New York’s deep mid-winter weather has been
conducive to staying inside and writing. So, generally speaking,
that’s what I’ve done. I finished, A Compromising Affair, the
fifth Harrington story and sent it off to my editor. It’s due out in
September of this Year. It about Judson Philips-Sparkman’s ( See
Love Me Tonight) best friend, Scott Galloway, as he leaves his
first ambassadorial assignment after two necessarily celibate years in
Lithuania. Scott is a tough guy, knows who he wants and gets her.
In October, Kensington
Publishing Corp published When The Sun Goes Down, my tenth
novel of general fiction. The story was a challenge, because it
contained one dark character (along with some admirable ones), a
mystery and a love story. It is also a sequel to my bestselling, If
You Walked In My Shoes. I was able to breathe deeply after reading
the Publisher’s Weekly review. It promises to be a page turner.
My husband, our son
and I enjoyed a splendid vacation in Europe during the latter part of
September, There’s not much equal to sitting along the banks of the
Danube River in perfect Autum weather watching the boats glide over
the wave-free water.
At the end of
December, I sent my editor my eleventh novel of general fiction. We
haven’t yet settled on a title for it. It’s the story of a woman who,
against seemingly insurmountable odds, is determined to follow her
dream and achieve her goal. The greatest deterrent is the person
closest to her.
During 2010, some dear
friends and acquaintances went to rest, but some others were blessed
with renewed health, for which I am grateful. Till next time,
Gwynne Forster
